About the event

On June 2, International competitions «63rd Grand Moscow Regatta», organized by Moscow City Department of sport together with Russian rowing federation, ended on Moscow Rowing Canal.

This year’s competition was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the victory of the Russian men’s quadruple sculls at the Olympic Games in Athens. More than 1,300 athletes from Russia, Cuba, Serbia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus took part in regatta.

Over the four days of competition, 74 sets of medals were played. Olympic Games participant, winner and medalist of the World Cups Kira Yuvchenko took three gold medals, World Cup medalist, winner and medalist of the World Cup under 23 Anastasia Lyubich — two golds and a silver, and silver medalist of the Olympic Games, winner and medalist of the European Championships Elena Oryabinskaya — silver and bronze.

For men, silver medalist of 2023 Russian Championship Alexander Yakovlev won two gold medals and one silver, and medalist of Open Championship of the Republic of Belarus Anton Vasin won two gold.

Program for the visitors

At 63rd Grand Moscow Regatta a program for spectators will be organized: indoor rowing, a themed interactive quest, a street theater performance, as well as flashmobs and different competitions.

On June 1 and 2, there will be areas with a car exhibition, a car slalom and a shooting range.

On June 1 at 16:00 the opening ceremony of the competition will take place with a drum show and fire theater.
